How the Virtual Performer Works
The core of Bohemian Violin is its virtual performer system. Instead of you manually switching between articulation keyswitches, the plugin decides the performance details in real time from a single patch.
Moods for Different Styles You can switch between five play styles called moods: Assertive, Emotive, Improv, Classical, and Sprightly. Each mood changes how the virtual performer reacts, altering the auto-selection of bow types, legatos, and bow positions to fit the musical character. Polyphonic and Ensemble Playing The Maestro poly performer legato lets you play multiple notes together. You can also use the Performer Mode to change the ensemble size, from Solo and Second Violin up to Trio, Chamber, and Divisi sections. Articulation and Crafting Control While the performer automates most things, you still have direct control. You can force specific articulations like Ricochet, Col Legno, or Harmonics. Dynamic Layers and Transitions Sustains have three sampled dynamics (pianissimo, mezzo-forte, fortissimo) with multiple round robins. There are also two dynamic layers for crescendos and three layers for long diminuendos, all with round robin repetitions. In-Phrase Legatos Legato transitions weren't sampled in isolation. They were captured as part of real musical phrases. The selection includes Slurred, Fingered, Portamento, Runs, and Tremolo types at varied speeds, along with deeply sampled re-bow actions.Technical Setup and Workflow
Bohemian Violin comes as VST3, Audio Unit, and AAX plugins. It's built on the Gorilla Engine and is optimized for fast loading and low memory use, even with its 70,000+ sample pool. Multiple plugin instances can share resources to save CPU.
